...on Overnight Success

I had just wrapped up my weekly a.m. call with my career coach and saw this quote in my Instagram feed. What a powerful and timely post! We all go through periods of time when we assess our current positions. We get the urge to compare ourselves to others, and doubt can creep in if we begin to think that our own accomplishments don’t quite stack up.

One of my favorite quotes is:

Comparison is the thief of joy.

Here’s my little addendum to that quote:

Comparison stalls progress.

Sometimes it can seem like you’re not where you want to be or “should” be. I believe in the law of attraction, which states that which you focus on expands.

If you live long enough, you’ll learn that the road to your goals is never straight. And if your goals are bold enough, there will be times when throwing in the towel seems like the only logical option. As the wise sage Oprah said, you must decide before you even start that you’re going to finish.
